CARDBOARD FABRIC RESTORATION 2022
DWELLING AND CITY

The second project of the 'Dwelling and city' workshop tries to convert an abandoned cardboard factory into a cohousing building, with a given program of surfaces and requirements.

The northeast half of the general block remains, reducing all modifications to the southwest half. The construction tries, at all times, to respect the latticework of the main façade as historical heritage, creating blocks of housing complexes that surround two interior spaces with free height and skylight on the roof. In this way, an open circulation of ventilation and lighting is created between all the floors. In between all these spaces are placed the common ones. Everything is summarized in these five sheets, which range from the smaller scale of analysis to the larger scale of housing units.
